The declining insect population in urban areas poses a threat to biodiversity, impacting insects, animals, plants, and eventually, humans. The challenge is to create a fictive organization and raise awareness of these issues through a new identity. The organization is named "For Humans Only," a provocative and sarcastic title highlighting human egoism and emphasizing the fact that the world is becoming for humans only, as so many species are going extinct. Recognizing the need to appeal to both emotion and logic, bold visuals are incorporated representing the insect world alongside data, numbers, and statistics. The logo contains hidden insects to give a hint as to why the world is for humans only. It is a modified version of the typeface Futura, which also reflects the fact that without insects, we have no future. The same principle is also applied to the other typeface used which is Tomato Grotesk. Insects have a direct effect on our food, and without them our crops would decline. The insects in the logo and the pictograms are all created from the same basic 3 shapes. Combined with the striking colors, they grab the attention of people passing by.
