Zetland
Zetland is a member-funded Danish news platform built on slow journalism and ethical principles, made as a direct response to the noise and speed of modern news. Most of what I worked on came back to the same problems. Zetland has a lot of depth, and depth is hard to navigate. Sometimes that meant helping a new member figure out what Zetland even is and why it's worth their time. Other times it meant helping someone who's been a member for years get a quick read on the week. I worked across the whole product. The biggest project was a strategic redesign of the app homepage, moving it from a chronological feed to something curated and mission-driven. Alongside that I redesigned the search experience around clearer navigation and distinctions between content types, redesigned the player to simplify and introduce video into what had been an audio-first product, built a flexible landing page and campaign framework for the web, and developed and expanded the Figma design system that laid the foundation for all of it.
